Grades indicate the quality rank of the product. We use three types of grades: A Grade: Pin may contain 1 minor imperfection B Grade: Pin may contain up to 3 basic imperfections C Grade: Pin may contain one or several major imperfections * We do not sell "Collector Grades" as a "perfect pin" is extremely hard to come by and thus cannot be guaranteed.

Due to the fact that pins are hand made and the colors used are hand mixed, very few pins turn out perfect. A grades however are, or either come very close. An A grade pin may include up to one of the following minor inperfections: A small spec of an enamel color other than the color of that section near the rim of the plating (barely noticable) A small spec of rogue screen printing (will be removed if caught during QC) Slight underfill in one enamel section of the pin Tiny, barely noticable airbubbles in the enamel Light surface scratches on the enamel or plating Plating imperfections on the back of the pin Slightly bent pin posts

B grades are pins that are a little big rougher than A grades, meaning they have more than one flaw that is visable to the eye but not too disturbing at a distance. A B grade pin may include up to three of the following inperfections: A spec of an enamel color other than the color of that section Missing/faulty/offset screen printing Underfill in an enamel section of the pin Overfill of an enamel section of the pin (covers metal plating) Tiny airbubbles in the enamel Moderate surface scratches on the enamel or plating Plating imperfections on the back of the pin Rogue particles/dust in normal and glitter enamel sections Damaged/chipped metal plating Bent pin posts

C grades are pins that have significant flaws, that are obviously visable to the eye. A C grade pin may include several (no limit) of the following inperfections: Large spot or full section colored with the wrong enamel color. Missing/faulty/offset screen printing Significant underfill in an enamel section of the pin Significant overfill of an enamel section of the pin (covers metal plating) Missing enamel (bare sections) Airbubbles in the enamel Significant surface scratches on the enamel or plating Significant plating imperfections on the back of the pin Significant rogue particles/dust in normal and glitter enamel sections Damaged/chipped/missing metal plating Bent pin posts
